P2 Xcursion, hybrid amphibious LSA
The talk will cover the topic of WHY and HOW the electric and hybrid propulsion systems ARE the future, and how aircraft design can be improved because of these systems. Because the systems today give designers penalties in weight and cost compared to traditional combustion alternatives, the aircraft we create must somehow be much better than what is already on the market to actually be a viable commercial success. The P2 Xcursion is an example of how this can be done by adding many exciting features that are absolutely impossible to achieve without these new propulsion technologies.
