Alejandro Pensado

Alejandro Pensado is a Masters student at University of California, Davis studying Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. As a graduate student, Alejandro is studying aeroelasticity of inflatable decelerators. During his time as an undergraduate at UC Davis, Alejandro was involved in and led several student design teams which provided experience in designing aircraft, space missions, and rockets. Alejandro worked as a member of a small research team to investigate low cost detection of boundary layer separation with dynamic pressure measurements. As a culmination to his undergraduate career, Alejandro and fellow Areion designers won 2nd place for their Fuel-Cell Electric GA Aircraft Concept for the 2015 NASA ARMD Challenge.
