Biography

With NASA for 53 years, he serves as chief scientist at NASA Langley Research Center. His work includes some 250 publications, over 400 invited presentations, contributions to Gemini, Apollo, X15, Viking, shuttle, NASP, SST, planetary exploration, hypervelocity air breathing propulsion, viscous drag reduction and flow control across the speed range, consulting for missiles, submarines, torpedoes, power and energy, member of national academy of engineering, fellow of AIAA, ASME, Royal Aeronautical Society.

He was selected as 2016 Honorary Fellow by the AIAA for his unique contributions to the profession.
