Ed De Reyes is an retired Air Force veteran with over 40 years of aviation experience. He has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and a graduate degree in aeronautical engineering, and has worked for companies such as McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman. Ed first started working on drones in 1990 with the Sky Lance piloted stand-off vehicle, and retired from Northrop-Grumman as a Member of Technical Staff in charge of Global Hawk Block 20, 30 and 40 air vehicles for Northrop Grumman. Ed has served as a test pilot, a flight test engineer, and an FAA liaison for small and large companies alike, on various programs and projects. Ed is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Sabrewing Aircraft Company. Sabrewing is building a regional unmanned cargo aircraft that can lift 2 metric tons. Sabrewing is also the only American team chosen to participate in the Pacific Drone Challenge™ to fly from Japan to the Silicon Valley in 2019.
