Trusting the Pilotless Aircraft

Much like the way self-driving cars are transforming surface transportation, autonomous flight won’t just replace humans in the cockpit: the precision of control, ever-vigilant situational awareness, and virtual elimination of human error will greatly enhance the safety, affordability and capacity of air travel.

Pilotless aircraft will be the greater part of the coming electric aircraft revolution. A wide industry consensus agrees that they will eventually enable a sustainable autonomous transit system of small aircraft carrying cargo and passengers in on-demand service to one’s own neighborhood or doorstep.

The Sustainable Aviation Symposium’s first-ever Autonomous Flight Forum will showcase the leading experts in this field, discussing how future Regional Sky Transit systems will be acceptable to the public. Speakers include:

Dr. Tyler MacCready
CEO, Oceanlab
Dr. Parimal Kopardekar
Principal Investigator - NASA
Dr. Kevin D. Jones
Research Associate Professor - Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey
Bill Parks
Chief Engineer, Aerovironment
