Michael Starr is a recent graduate from the University of California, Davis, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Science and Engineering. During his time at UC Davis Michael took part in Aerobrick, an engineering club to compete in the SAE Aero Design West competition which provided an abundance of first hand experience in designing and manufacturing large RC aircraft. In addition to Aerobrick, Michael worked as an undergraduate researcher for the Advanced Research for Manufacturing Systems laboratory working on manufacturing simulations using Simulia ABAQUS FEA analysis. The strong extracurricular activities allowed him to help create Bladessa, the NASA award winning all-electric 4-person general aviation aircraft.
